New Sponsors at Winchester City
Some of the hard work of the new committee at Winchester City Football Club is beginning to pay off, and the club has recently sealed attractive sponsorship arrangements with two major new backers. Dessports, a sports consultancy, is generously backing the Youth Academy at City, which has added an under 16 side to the existing under 18 set-up. Local company, JCM Glass and Glazing, has also agreed a tie-up with the club to sponsor the training kit and first team tracksuits.
The club is also continuing to work closely with its main sponsors, Denplan, as well as bringing in fresh backers. Club chairman, Derek Caws, said “Denplan have provided the club with great support over the last four years and will continue to do so, but they also understand that we need to bring in additional backing, and they are happy for us to do so." This is all part of the club’s strategy going forwards, to work more closely with the people and businesses of Winchester. “The club had become isolated from the city it represents," said Caws, “And we are really looking to change this. We want to support the city in return for the city supporting the football club".
Any businesses interested in discussing opportunities to work with the club should contact Derek Caws on 07840 832319.
