It seems that if you're injured you end up doing the match report - so here goes!
Winchester had all the early possession. Karl puts a fantastic ball over the top of the left back for Jamie to run on to and score with a sublime chip over the keeper. Winchester continue to press and Danny swings in a left footed cross which Ben crashes against the bar with a fantastic left foot volley. Although 1 - 0 up Winchester can't relax and need to do more in this game to be sure of the points.
David comes on for Dan after 30 minutes but its Whitecroft who start to put on the pressure now and Webby makes 2 great saves, just before half time, to keep Winchester in the game.
In the dressing room at half time tensions are running high and the words used aren't fit to print! Anyway it did the trick and within minutes of the restart Ben swings in a cross from the right which bobbles over Jack's foot but straight into the path of Steve who thunders the ball home to make it 2 - 0. Steve then sets Danny free down the left and his cross is slotted home by Dan only for it to be ruled offside (apparently!). No worries though because with an almost identical move Dan scores again and this one finally counts.
3 - 0. Good game, good result but i can't wait to be out there playing again!
